Competing in one championship after another at all levels, she and her partner won the Canadian Nationals in the snipe category in 2013. Having finished in the top 10 at the many snipe women’s world championships, Jessica has lived her sailing dream to the fullest, without compromising her other ambitions.

Jessica’s impressive academic journey started at a young age when she demonstrated her mathematical prowess. She went on to enroll in a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Solid Mechanics at Brown University. She further pursued a Master of Science and chose to specialize in Thermal and Fluid Sciences to challenge herself while continuing to train as a professional sailor. Her strong mindset allowed her to accomplish both, and she quickly established herself as a top systems engineer in the medical device development industry.
An Innovative Engineer
Jessica’s engineering passion knows no bounds, as evidenced by her work in all four medical device categories: disposables, pharmaceutical delivery, robotics, and implantables before she even turned 30. She held top positions in some of the most cutting-edge biomed device manufacturing companies and even earned a US patent for a novel method of separating essential oils from biomass.
