SaaS Expert and Influencer Patrick Parker Shares Tips for Young Generations

Success is a dish often served cold, made with ingredients such as determination, persistence, patience, and perseverance. To succeed is to fight loads of challenges, obstacles, and unexpected predicaments. The bigger your company grows, the bigger the challenges you face. Maybe it’s the rapidity at which this world is advancing in science and technology; today’s young entrepreneurs want instant success in their professional careers and evade the efforts required to actually make it happen. For such young souls in a hurry, Patrick Parker, a SaaS expert and an influencer, has a few words of advice.

“Most people don’t fail because they’re incompetent,” says Patrick. “They fail because they don’t have the patience, the right guidance, or they try to take on too much,” he further added.

Patrick has excelled in entrepreneurship. Not only has he made a significant name for himself in the industry, but he has also assisted many other tech enthusiasts, SaaS founders, and embryonic entrepreneurs in becoming successful ones. He is the founder of SaaS Partners, a software development company dedicated to helping tech entrepreneurs find success by building world-class products. The company is also self-evident of its founder’s expertise in building, and growing businesses as Patrick has grown its to revenue of $3.5M in just four short years.

Mr. Parker believes that some young entrepreneurs have enough passion to eventually blossom into stars in the industry. However, because they lack patience, the obstacles that they face often cannot be overcome. Here’s what else he had to say and the tips he shared for young entrepreneurs.

1. Be patient. Success doesn’t happen overnight.

The star of the SaaS industry asks young entrepreneurs not to hasten in achieving their career goals. Entrepreneurship is a winding ride. Sometimes, success comes quickly, but more often than not you have to wait for it. It may take years and sometimes decades, but if you are determined and focused on your work, there’s no power on earth that can hamper your march toward success. No one knows this better than Patrick. The reputation he enjoys today is built over almost two decades!

2. Get a mentor.

The second piece of advice Patrick has for young entrepreneurs is to get a mentor. Not because they will feed you with a step-by-step guide in order to succeed, but because it is a prerequisite. There is absolutely zero reason why as an entrepreneur that you should make the same mistakes that a thousand people before you have made. Having a mentor to lean on for guidance will help you avert many of the most common pitfalls with starting and scaling a business. This does not mean that you won’t make mistakes. You will just hopefully make different ones and be able to continue sharing those lessons learned with the next generation of entrepreneurs.

3. Focus only on one thing and master it.

Last but not least, Patrick wants young entrepreneurs not to split their attention across domains. Being a successful entrepreneur doesn’t mean excelling at different things simultaneously. It is completely the opposite of it. You have to be good at one thing first and achieve optimal results in it before moving on to the next thing. The bottom line is to focus on one thing at a time and learn to master it.
