Two Times National Champion Arjun Dhingra Talks about the Role of TaeKwonDo in Shaping His Life

Arjun Dhingra began training for TaeKwonDo while in elementary school. Being subject to bullying and harassment, his parents decided to rekindle his fighter spirit by putting him into the game. Arjun believes it was the best decision as it shaped him into the person he is today and helped him achieve so much in life.

Arjun is currently serving as the co-head coach for the national team of the USA. mentoring athletes help him give back to the art that taught him so much about life and leading his thriving business as a mortgage advisor. “Coaching athletes and guiding clients have a lot of similar energies.  Both moving towards something, trying to attain or achieve and navigate through challenges along the way with my help.  I am just as competitive with my clients in trying to help them WIN as I am with the athletes I coach.  The focus and intensity levels don’t vary.”

Arjun Dhingra has the privilege of winning the World Championships twice and being the first Indian-American to reach such heights in TaeKwonDo. But keeping the accolades aside, Arjun believes the game not just taught him self-defense skills but so much more valuable life skills that he has managed to use in other areas of life. These skills have made it possible for him to be the exceptional leader and compassionate mentor he is today.

His ability to focus and pay attention to all that is relevant in his mortgage client’s life, discipline to do the right thing while valuing honesty, demonstrate respect and compassion to others in all situations and build confidence to face all sorts of attacks are all gifts of TaeKwonDo. Implementing these life skills into his business has earned him a tremendous name, respect, and appreciation. He acts as a true guide for all his clients and teaches them the importance of financial literacy.

Arjun is headquartered in San Francisco, California, and continues to provide the best services to first-time home buyers and also as a debt manager. His experience of 34 years in TaeKwonDo and 20 years of mortgage banking has positioned him to be the right person for trustworthy advising and coaching services.I most enjoy the relationships and bonds that I have formed with our clients and partners.
