“Truthfulness and Sincerity” Are the Two Ingredients That Gave Life to Sue De Chiara’s Art

“Inspiration is literally everywhere!”

As cliche as this statement sounds, the truth behind these words cannot be rebuked. We rarely see past the facade and focus on the beauty of all the things around us. Once we lift that curtain that separates us from reality, we are captivated. That same beauty grasped Sue De Chiara, urging her to finally begin her life as an abstract artist.

Being raised in an artistic household had left a lifelong impact on Sue. She finally channeled that part of herself in 2017, when she started working as an abstract artist and painter. Alongside starting and working on her blog, The Zhush, which has grown since 2009, Sue decided to pursue more. Eight years after starting The Zhush did, she dabble in the world of art. Carrying her incomparable talent and a knack for creativity, her area of expertise was focused on abstract art, a form that narrated its own story.

Raising three children and working on two separate websites, Sue learned how to process her emotions and paint them on a canvas. Her experience with home decor led her to master the art of color coordination, giving her an edge over other artists. Her paintings are dedicated to adding comfort to the room and making it more comfortable. The inspiration with which she continues to create such impeccable art comes from nature, history, and from her ability to see past the curtain into the world of the unknown.

Choosing abstract art as her mode of expression led her to take on a route that experiments with perceptions of life that cannot be seen with the naked eye. The geometric shapes, scribbles, and textures in abstract art make it alluring. It is precisely what captured Sue’s attention and led to the creation of Sue De Chiara – named after herself. She has led her paintings into a world where the process is not constrained. Instead, each step comes with instinct and the innate urge to express.

To reach such levels, Sue De Chiara has opted for a color palette that welcomes homeliness and beauty and adds a poetic touch. Neutral and white colors on a canvas reflect Sue’s perception of reality. The soothing colors beautify and mesh perfectly with the two ingredients that Sue finds the most gratifying: “Truthfulness and sincerity.” Both are the most eminent parts of Sue’s paintings; these elements can be seen from far away.

Art rejoices in aspects of life that are not easy to spot; it takes care and effort to finally seek the answer. Sue found abstract art in 2017, long after The Zhush or even her real-estate law experience. But once she practiced, learned, and picked up that brush, her art acquired a life on its own.
