How Naida Mehanović Is Playing Her Part in Advancing Bosnia and Herzegovina Towards Better Economical Conditions

The Bosnian war that lasted from 1992 to 1995 is one of the worst international armed conflicts, marked by atrocious destruction of the country. Three decades later, Bosnia and Herzegovina still hasn’t recovered and is not doing as well as it could. Plagued with corruption and a deteriorated structure, the country faces acute social and economic challenges. However, not all hope is lost, with wellwishers and patriots like Naida Mehanović who aim to resurrect their homeland and give it a new lease of life.

Born amidst war, Naida had been witnessing the miserable state of her homeland since her childhood. The post-war era was far worse than the war itself. All kinds of social evils prevailed, with corruption being the worst one. In this war of survival of the fittest, Naida made it her mission to help and support those who couldn’t do it themselves, all to improve her country’s conditions overall.

While working in Italy, Naida gained enough knowledge and experience in the real estate industry. She came back to practice the same in her own country, with the main goal of boosting the real estate presence of Bosnia and Herzegovina and attracting foreign investors and visitors. Her real estate agency ‘Primavera’ deals with mediation in working with real estate, along with providing administrative and legal services to nationals and foreigners.

Apart from real estate, Naida believes education to be one of the major drivers of a better economy. Through the umbrella youth organization, Youth Council of Sarajevo Canton, Naida is using all means to help students get their fundamental rights and enhance the overall educational structure of the country. The better the education, the greater the number of educated individuals and the better the economy.

While many Bosnians left the country and succeeded in other parts of Europe, Naida Mehanović chose the opposite. She decided to stay in her homeland and do her part in leading Bosnia and Herzegovina towards better economic conditions. Meanwhile, she is also using her law knowledge to help in the legal areas of a variety of sectors. Follow her on LinkedIn to get to know more about her works.
