Here’s How Kardell Sims Changed the Course of His Life

Although it might seem difficult sometimes, it’s indeed possible to transform our life for the better. But just because it is possible to change our life doesn’t make it easy. As a master-certified life coach and motivational speaker, Kardell Sims uses his life and the mindset shift that helped him change from an inmate to inspiration as a blueprint to encourage hundreds of individuals, aiming to set the youth on the right track.

Authenticating his words and guidance is Kardell’s extensive experience being a justice-involved individual himself. Who can better understand prison and recidivism than someone who has walked the path himself? For Kardell, the life of crime came easy due to his family being down and out and having been involved in various kinds of drugs. Without a penny to his name, he started hustling at a young age. He was 15 when he first became involved with the law and the story of his crime began, spanning almost two decades.

During this time, Kardell continuously fell prey to recidivism where he would return to the same street crime that put him in jail repetitively. He didn’t find any interest in pursuing anything else but crime – the only thing that many prisoners think they are good at. It is indeed one of the most difficult things for prisoners to break free from criminality and leave the life they’re so accustomed to living. However, willpower and resilience can transform even the longest-serving criminals.

When one of his cases put him into federal prison, it turned out to be a turning point for Kardell. He realized that the first victim of his crimes is none other than himself. Since then, he began making plans and goals for his life after release. His time in federal prison was nothing but a pioneer toward his successful life ahead. So he walked out, after spending 57 months in the federal prison, with plans and ideas he had put together while being incarcerated.

Leaving his criminal life behind, Kardell was headed towards a new start. He got a job and started taking life-coaching lessons after his work. No doubt strong willpower and resilience can lead to wonders. After becoming a master-certified life empowerment coach, Kardell ventured into business as well. Currently, he is the owner of Kardell Sims Enterprises LLC., a re-entry consultant business that works with formerly justice-involved individuals to help them have a successful reintegration back into society.

Aside from that, Kardell is also thriving as a prison expert and prevention specialist where he guides youth towards the path of real success and helps them stay away from the criminal life that can lead them to prison doors. Also, he does not shy away from sharing his criminal life. Through his writing publications, he has put his life experiences to paper.

Kardell is successfully steering forward with one definitive goal – to give back to the community he helped destroy when he was out on the streets. Follow him on Instagram to get detailed insights into his experiences and his transformation journey.
