Discipline, Integrity, and Resilience – Nathan Sharma Shares His List of Ingredients to Run a Successful Business in the Beauty Industry

It’s not every day that we get to hear the secrets behind the success of a multi-million business owner. However, today is an exception as the owner and COO of NIWE Academy, Nathan Sharma, discloses the reasons for his swift triumph in the business world.

Nathan’s parents, Sangeeta Sharma and Ramesh Sharma, started NIWE Academy in 2012 to help young immigrant women launch their careers in the beauty and wellness industry. The aim was to assist the immigrant population in securing respectable jobs throughout Canada.

Nathan knew that for the business to thrive in the long term, he would have to turn NIWE into a full-fledged corporation with a regulated system and operations. Hence, in 2017, he undertook the challenge, and since then, his earnings have risen from six figures to multi-million dollars on a yearly basis.

In a period of 5 years, Nathan has helped the company achieve a gold standard in cosmetology. The journey was not an easy one, but he held to his conviction firmly and cemented the company’s foundation for generations to come. Nathan knew this task was finical and could not be done without guidance. Hence, he sought the help of mentors who assisted him in making significant decisions for the company.

One of the first lessons Nathan learned from his time with the mentors was to never shy away from asking for help. The second lesson he learned was to park your ego, this is because one can never win if it’s their ego that leads them. Nathan believes these mentors helped discipline him, which is key to achieving organizational goals and success. Later on, he hired a life coach who taught him the significance of time and decisiveness. This ensured that Nathan would remain determined in his objective to help NIWE Academy achieve unprecedented success.

“I started working with a life coach who helped point me in the right direction and guided me on my mental, physical and spiritual health,” says Nathan.

Moreover, Nathan views integrity as an essential part of running a successful business. It enhances your reputation, gives your business a competitive edge, makes it easier to make decisions, and allows you to build trust and loyalty with customers. That being said, Nathan believes that in the absence of integrity, you cannot build a business that is sustainable and successful. Abiding by the same principles, Nathan plans on launching a learning management system. The aim is to create a single source of online courses and training material to help people learn the art of owning a business.
