Beyond the Ceremony – Janice Lee’s Brand is All About Today’s Modern Woman in Fashion and Bridal Galore

We now live in a world where anything is possible, and making your wedding day creatively personalized to you is now a must for brides and grooms across the globe “no matter what your style.” Going bespoke to customize your wedding dress is an option to consider when planning your big day. To solve the bridal dilemma of where to go for actually modern-looking dresses that you can customize, many brides are opting for designer Janice Lee. The leading bridal designer shares all that goes into collaboratively building a wedding dress. Hence, it fits seamlessly with your personality and style, giving you the freedom of expression to genuinely feel like yourself on your wedding day.

Specializing in exquisite craftsmanship, whilst stylish and ethical, Janice specializes in figure-flattering styles and couture construction rather than dressing just one type of body. She prides herself that she looks at the whole needs of today’s woman. Janice also spoke as a panelist at a bridal summit called Fashion Vows, where she discussed her brand, sustainability, efforts toward the future, and trends in design.

What ignited her fire to start her passion project, Beyond the Ceremony, was a slow buildup from all of her experiences in designing professionally for esteemed bridal companies and couture houses for over a decade.   Throughout her professional career, she had women constantly tell her that raiding bridal markets and stores becomes futile as they fail to spot modern dresses that articulate their person.  The bridal galore they’re seeing is all enclosed in a blanket sea of white dresses that look the same as old-fashioned templates.

“I’ve discovered that above all, the women of the world were still being sold this outdated fantasy that no longer appealed to a modern woman in how she lives her life, explains Janice. The reason she built her brand is simple. She creates originality essaying the bride’s personality in her wardrobe choices. Janice explains that the women of today aren’t floating around in an unrealistic fantasy wanting a princess dress for prince charming to come save them. Instead, the bold and beautiful women of today who are empowered want to celebrate a more relatable vision of matrimony and a dress to reflect that in their current style.

My goal is to empower women to celebrate their marriage in their way and on their terms while embracing sustainability and beautifully original designs for one of the most memorable days of their lives, Janice explains. She is bringing her charming designs to life as she has been an experienced creative director & fashion designer with over 10 years of technical and couture manufacturing experience in the fashion industry.

Luckily for her, she had known her calling since childhood. She has a tenured professional design career with a BFA focused in Fashion Design from The Fashion Institute of Technology.  Follow her website to learn more about her creative projects and deeper dive into her signature style.
